  • Overview

    Assist nursing personnel in providing non-licensed nursing care and basic technical nursing services, under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.


    Responsible for assisting nursing employees in providing non-licensed nursing care adn basic technical nursing services, under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Our CNA PRN employees work on an as needed basis and must be willing to commit to working two (2) weekend shifts each 4 weeks and one major holiday that is observed by the organization annually.  PRN employees are expected to be caring, flexible, cooperative and dependable professionals. 


    High School diploma or GED preferred; must be able to read and write. Where applicable, must be certified in the state of Florida as a CNA. Must attend a six (6) hour refresher course for basic patient care skills and a three (3) hour refresher annually thereafter, showing competence in all areas.


    Demonstration of an acceptable level and combination of the following qualities or the potential to develop them: Accept supervision and able to follow instructions; cooperate with others; reliable in attendance and punctuality with no more than three (3) absences or tardies in a three (3) month period; willingness and ability to learn; work effectively with patients at whatever maturity level they are currently functioning; neat, well-groomed appearance; protect confidential information; able to work independently; show good judgment n performance of job; is trustworthy; form positive working relationships with staff, patients, families, and outside contacts; adapt to changing work conditions and demands; communicate effectively; mature and show emotional control under stress; patient, tactful, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, always willing to be helpful, teach and encourage others in a positive professional manner.
